Seiko Model SKJ 169P is a Diver type watch with a Quartz timed movement powered by the Seiko 'Kinetic' system.
The watch is all Stainless Steel including the Bracelet which here has been replaced with a leather strap.
The case diameter is 40mm, is 13mm thick and weighs 100 grams
The Dial is shiny black and is deeply recessed behind the Sapphlex crystal.  Sapphlex apparently is a bonded Sapphire outer and mineral glass underneath.

The bold Hands and Hour indices are silver mounted and loaded with Lumibrite which gives the watch an excellent dark visibility performance for hours and hours.

The shiny dial and the sapphire show up finger marks very easily.

The Seconds hand aligns perfectly with the seconds indices.
This is a very comfortable watch especially with the high quality Hirsch strap now fitted.

It is quite normal to hear and even feel the gyrations of the rotor as the wrist is moved - quite a satisfying sensation considering what is going on inside.
The Case is completely polished and has screw back, screw down crown and unidirectional rotating bezel which has a half minute ratchet and a brushed upper surface.
Accross the lugs is 48mm and the strap width is 22mm.
The
Bracelet supplied with this example utilised both solid and folded links with a deployment system and safety clasp.
The Quartz timed movement is powered from a capacitor which is charged by a miniature generator driven by movement of the wearer's wrist in similar fashion to self winding watches. Once fully charged the watch will run for a week or so off the wrist.  The button next to the crown when pressed causes the seconds hand to deflect a distance proportional to the state of charge of the system.
This watch maintains about -1 second per 4 days.
